Why do you teach at SPINCO?
I teach because of the community. I remember my first class at SPINCO and even though I was an athlete my whole life I was so nervous, my palms were sweaty. I had no idea what to expect. But after walking into the studio and immediately feeling welcome, it made me feel like I wanted to be part of it in some way.
What motivates you to get on the bike every class?
I get on the bike every class because whether I'm instructing or a rider in the class, I love feeling that energy in the room and seeing the community grow together.
What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
I want all my riders to have a goal for their ride, and I want to help coach them through getting out of their comfort zones and that much closer to their goal. Whether that goal is inside or outside of that room - SPINCO makes us physically and mentally stronger. I also hope they feel like me when I'm riding in a class: completely out of breath but with a big smile on my face.
Quote to live by?
"You miss every shot you don't take."
Where can we find you off the bike?
Might be a little hard to find me! I'm somewhere in the mountains - from snowmobiling to dirt biking, camping, and fishing, I'll definitely be outside somewhere.
