Why do you teach at SPINCO?
I teach at SPINCO because I absolutely love how accomplished I feel when I complete my ride. I had never taught spin prior to SPINCO, but I knew that if I didn't just say YES and push myself out of my comfort zone, I would always wonder how things would have played out for me.
What motivates you to get on the bike every class?
My people! Whether it's my two kids, my family, my friends, or my riders. I ride for me, but I also ride for YOU! I love a great sweat, and sharing a sweaty ride with my people is the best way to brighten my day.
What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
Community and success! I love connecting with people and the community in Abbotsford has come so far in the last handful of years. I am a big believer in the power of people, and want all of my riders to know that I believe in YOU. Watching my riders complete an amazing ride and leave the studio with a smile and sense of accomplishment fills my bucket! Oh yeah, and who doesn't like adding in a wicked beat to their day? Connection with the beat, the bike, the studio, and the people will keep you feeling that riders high every single time!
What is your favourite type of music to ride to?
I love it all! From 90's beats to country, rap to classic rock - in my class you'll find a solid mix of songs you can either fully lose yourself in the beat or you might even find yourself singing along.
Quote to live by?
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” ― Bernard M. Baruch
Where can we find you off the bike?
Soccer practice with my kids, or lost on a mountain trail mid-hike with my friends and our dogs. I also never miss a good happy hour date.
Three words your best friend would use to describe you?
Total YES person.
