Why do you teach at SPINCO?
With SPINCO I am able to continually learn and grow as a professional in a field that is constantly evolving, which creates unique opportunities for me to expand my knowledge and skills and to ultimately enhance my impact as an instructor. I am able to develop meaningful connections with my riders that transcend the group fitness environment. I'm there to support and guide them through often life-changing transformations.

What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
That is an easy one - it's fun! I love the music, the motivation and the feeling after a great workout. It carries me through my days pretty stress-free.

"While meditation, laughing, or eating chocolate do raise endorphin levels, they don't raise them as much as exercising intensely for an hour or more" - J. Kip Matthews, PhD

What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
I hope my riders have a good time, enjoy the music, feel successful, energized, and feel extra alive and positive on the way out the door. I hope they connect and meet new friends. 1 hour of exercise releases enough endorphins to replace a person's anti-depression pills...so hey! Camon' get happy!

What motivates you to get on the bike every class?
Honestly, for me, it's all about the riders and my co-instructors. It's not just spinning or fitness. Getting on the bike is a vessel to motivate people, have fun, laugh, rock out to good music and be social. SPINCO is a great place to make friendships. Motivating people lifts them up, lightens their days and makes more difference than we even know.

What is your favourite type of music to ride to?
I like it all, as long as it has good bass beat and a fun song. I like to gauge my music based on my riders, not solely on my own preference, so I definitely mix up old and new.

Quote to live by:
"KINDNESS: loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weaknesses."

Where can you find me off the bike?
Cleaning my house, looking after the kids, endless laundry, running kids, groceries, planning meals, and just trying to fit it all in! Sneaking in "me" time, which consists of exercising, reading a book and time with my friends poolside, bar side, lunch or dinner.

Favourite day off activity?
Funny question to answer...as a stay at home mom, and wife, there are no days off. I deeply enjoy my life, family, and friends. A day off is not really a thing for me so I make time, get things done early to spend time with my kids, hubby, and friends. Our kids are older now so it's mostly time one on one and sometimes now it is only moments together during the day so I cherish each one.
