Why do you teach at SPINCO?
I teach because I love a challenge, and every time you get on that bike it's a new challenge. I've always loved being on a bike, whether on the road or inside. What I love about spin is the ability to push hard and dig deep, there is an opportunity to challenge your own limits like no other on that bike. I strive to encourage, to lift, and to build others up, SPINCO provides the opportunity to do this on and off the bike.
What motivates you to get on the bike every class?
The opportunity to be "un-busy" for 50-mins, that the only thing you need to do is ride. There is this unparalleled feeling when you show up for yourself and get lost in the ride. I enjoy every single second on that bike, no matter how tired I am. It's really hard to leave that room without a smile.
What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
It's going to be a wild ride, but serious work gets done in that room. Everything we do we move with purpose and intention. I want riders to leave that class knowing and rediscovering their own strength, and being proud of what they have accomplished.
Quote to live by?
"Know yourself, know your worth."
Favourite music to ride to?
Anything that gets the people going. I love intense, sick beats. One thing I can guarantee is that you will almost always find a Drake song (or two) on my playlist.
Where can we find you off the bike?
Probably drinking a good coffee or climbing a mountain, ideally both at the same time.
Three words your best friend would use to describe you?
Passionate, outspoken (AKA loud), spontaneous.
