Why do you teach at SPINCO?
I can’t turn down a party, anytime, anywhere. The energy that is created from a group of riders collectively moving together and reaching new limits is electric. It's almost impossible to put into words. Whether it's before the sun comes up at 6am or after a long day - I am always ready to move, and to be moved by every rider that shows up and just OWNS it. I teach at SPINCO for so many reasons: our riders, our team, our community and our passion.
What do you want your riders to get/feel from your class?
I want my riders to feel their honest, raw emotions. I want them to let go of anything dragging them down. We've all been there. No matter what you do in that room, it always helps you find that inner strength; that sense of accomplishment. Real accomplishment. Whether it means clearing your mind and getting lost in the music for 50 minutes, of letting go of something negative that you've been holding onto. Sometimes, we all just need to take a deep breath and realize that we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously and have a little fun while we're doing it.
What is your favourite type of music to ride to?
Anything that loosens up the soul. A mix of light beats, heavy drops, some throwbacks, and hip hop. Britney may make an appearance from time to time as well...
What is your favourite song to ride to right now?
Resurrection (Axwell's Recut Club Version) by Michael Calfan
Favourite day off activity?
A day out with friends, patios & beers.
